【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationdefinesproceduresfordeterminingtheperformanceofcertainlandfilldailycovermaterialsgenerallydescribedasanalternativedailycover(ADC).Thisspecificationappliesonlytoslurriesthataresprayed,foamsthataresprayapplied,orindigenousmaterialsthatareplacedontotheworkingfaceofaMunicipalSolidWasteLandfill(MSWLF)unitasacover.Itisnotapplicabletoothertypesoflandfills.ItdoesnotapplytogeosyntheticsusedasanADC.1.2ThisstandardaddressestheevaluationofanADCanditsabilitytocontrolfiresandodorsandwhetherornotthecovercontainsmaterialsthatpresentathreattohumanhealthandtheenvironment.Thecontrolofdiseasevectorsandblowinglittercanbeevaluatedbyobservation,andscavengingiscontrolledbysecurityproceduresandotheroperatingpractices.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
